The Spanish Red Cross has confirmed that the man who has been admitted to Our Lady of La Candelaria Hospital in Tenerife for presenting a fever and sore throat, is a nurse in the organization that had been working in Sierra Leone in the Ebola treatment center in Kenema.

As reported in the newspaper El Pais, the healthworker has been working for a month in the hospital with this organization in the city of Kenema, “Red Cross launched a specific hospital to treat sick Ebola patients in early August, which have reached 35 of its delegates”, said Juan Jesus Hernandez, head of the Health Plan Red Cross. The nurse spent there 30 days. Of the 35 delegates of the organization, 4 still there,  9 are under active surveillance and are being monitored, and the other 20 have already exceeded the 21-day quarantine, he added.
